Living the good life in Free State America

Since moving to North Idaho in July of 2006, I have spent as much of my free time as possible exploring the outdoors. In addition to hiking, biking and kayaking some of the well known local treasures, I also enjoy discovering lesser know hidden gems and would like to share my experiences so others can discover them.

After working almost forty years in the parks and recreation field, I will soon be retiring and plan to spend more time exploring and revisiting all of my favorite places and intend to post these adventures along with longer out of the area trips that also will focus on the great outdoors.
